God Is Good All The Time

I don't consider myself as the type of Christian that quotes bible scriptures to everyone I meet, but I do know that I am comfortable with my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. On Saturday, Caleb and I were heading to the great city of Roswell for a cook out with some friends. However, we had a stop to make prior to getting to Roswell.

While entering the parking deck at Atlantic Station my car's electrical system just shut down and the car couldn't move. Keep in mind, prior to stopping I was traveling at least 70mph on one of the busiest interstates in Atlanta. Eventually, I had the car towed to my mechanic and he stated that the car could have cut off while we were driving at 70mph on Interstate 75. That put me in another state of mind. My son and I could have been killed just that quickly. God IS good all the time. And to say that our morning had started out so lovely with a tree planting and a class that I teach to Habitat for Humanity every year. I'm just glad that the Man up above showed us favor once again. How can you NOT love a God like ours? Praise Him!!!

A New Attitude

Well, my stress level was through the roof, so I did what any rational woman would do, I got a facial and a massage. It was awesome, so thank you Impressions Hair Salon and Spa Serene in Douglasville. Anywho, prior to my move back to Louisiana, I prayed to God. Well, he answered and he delivered. As stated in an earlier post, Caleb and I drove (I actually drove) to Baton Rouge for my job interview with BREC. From the time we left Atlanta until the time we arrived in Baton Rouge, there was a tornado watch. During our visit, I managed to get sometime with the future hubby, unpack a few belongings, eat crawfish and see my cousin/future neighbor Dee!

After a few weeks, I was offered the position of Horticulture Manager for BREC! All praises to the Man above. This makes the transition a million times easier and I'm now officially ready for our Exodus of Atlanta, somewhat. lol

Shoe Shopping Makes Everything Better

The wedding is at a stand still. 90% of my bridesmaids have their dresses, one bridesmaid had to drop out and I have now added 2 new ones. Anywho, being overwhelmed by that, I resorted to Retail Therapy. LOL I found some shoes that would make any shoe lover drool. However, the heels are insanely high, so I'll just stare at them. I even found a pair with DRAGONFLY'S!!! How AWESOME is that??!?!?!?

I LOVE Spring!

Granted, the pollen is overwhelming this year, but the display of flowers are well worth it! Last week, I had to conduct inspections in Buckhead. I'm just happy no no one turned their dogs on me while I was in their landscape. Even though my job is crazy during the winter, the spring flowers make it all worth while!

The Baby Shower

It was gorgeous! I haven't been on in a while because life was crazy last month. Packing, traveling, interviewing and the much anticipated baby shower. We had a blast!!! Lots of food, friends, gifts, games and the list goes on. At the end of the evening Gavin Isaiah had a wonderful welcome party!

Calligraphy from the Calligrapher

I haven't been on in a while, cause I think I had a mini meltdown and all I wanted to do was rest. I wasn't depressed, but my bed sure felt good. Anywho, we all know that can only last for so long, so I'm back on it. In the midst of packing, trying to sell the house, scheduling visits from potential buyers, job hunting, working, homework, etc. Wow, I'm exhausted just typing that!

As I stated, that could only last so long, so the whistle has blown and I'm ready to get back on the field to play. Got a call today from a bride who has 175 invitations! She desires my services and I'm mentally preparing myself for a weekend full of writing. The extra money will be great and it'll keep my mind off of all the crazy stuff that is taking place in my life right now. Until next time...

Moving?!?!?!?

Greetings, I haven't had a post in a while because I'm moving!!!! I'm in the process of relocating to Louisiana, trying to sell my home, find a school for my son and jobhunting. My head hurts just to type this information. I'm typing this post while I sit at my soon-to-be new home in Baton Rouge with my wonderful groom and son. LOL He just asked what I was doing and stated that he feels neglected. Moving on...

Anywho, I'm in Louisiana because I have a job interview on tomorrow. The best part of the job is it's right down the street from the house and our home is right around the corner from my bestest cousin DeeShonda, who is also my Maid of Honor in the wedding. I guess this moving thing is lookin up!!! Wish me luck!
